The pros and cons of animal rights

Although different people have different opinions, I believe that animal rights should be protected for the following three reasons.
The first reason is that medical experiments on animals do not prove that they can be applicable to humans. It is waste of lives to experiment on animals because different animals react to different stimuli. Humans should find other ways to progress medical science without experiments on animals.
The second reason is that the livestock industry is one of the biggest causes of deforestation which causes many serious problems such as global warming and droughts. Humans can live without having eaten animals because all sorts of fruits, vegetables and pulses provide the variety of carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, minerals and vitamins that humans need for healthy diet.
The third reason is that biodiversity plays a significant role on ecosystems and the breakdown of ecosystems causes many environmental changes which could include abnormal weather and natural disasters. Furthermore, some research has shown that a decrease in biodiversity leads to an increase in the number of infectious diseases. Hence humans should preserve biodiversity because protecting animals means protecting ecosystems, and consequently, protecting humans.
As I mentioned, I believe that animal rights should be protected for the aforementioned three reasons.
