The pros and cons of work-sharing

Although there are pros and cons of work-sharing, I believe the pros outweigh the cons and it should be more readily available. Now I would like to mention the good things about work-sharing.
Firstly, it will alleviate the shortage of workforce. For example, in a global basis, there is a serious lack of doctors and nurses as the number of elderly people is increasing and the government is cutting medical expenses. Under the circumstances, work-sharing can really mitigate the workforce shortage.
Secondly, it will enhance the employment rate. In most countries, the rising unemployment rate is a significant problem and has serious consequences. There are increasing suicides and crimes due to poverty. Given the situations, work-sharing can be a real benefit because it gives people many job opportunities.
Finally, people will have more free time. As a result, they can spend more time with their family. Moreover, they can spend more time on skill and ability development, which leads to increase their income in the long run.
As I mentioned, for the aforementioned reasons, I am for work-sharing.
