The public’s lack of interest in politics

Essay

I believe that there are three primary reasons for the public’s lack of interest in politics.
The first primary reason is that politics is intentionally overly complicated in order to conceal corruption. It is reasonable that people are less interested in meaninglessly esoteric things which are only profitable to politicians and bureaucrats.
The second primary reason is that politics is the world of bureaucracy. It is hard for ordinary people to make some change on politics because politicians and bureaucrats are unwilling to make changes which are inconvenient to them even if the changes are beneficial to the people.
The third primary reason is that people have given up on politics. There are too many scandals and depraved politicians for ordinary people to believe that it is worth attention. As Mother Teresa said, “I will never attend an anti-war rally. If you have a peace rally, invite me”, it is important to not focus on undesirable things. Therefore the public’s lack of interest is only natural.
In conclusion, I believe that the primary reasons for the public’s lack of interest in politics are that politics is intentionally overly complicated, and it’s the world of bureaucracy, and people have given up on it.

If you have a peace rally, invite me.」
